INTRODUCTION
As a visual artist, I take pride in my work and strive to provide the best possible experience for my clients, and I'm here to help you bring your unique vision to life. To ensure that our collaboration runs smoothly and that we're both happy with the final result, I have a few terms of service that I ask my clients to abide by.
These terms are designed to protect both of our interests and ensure that we have a clear understanding of what to expect throughout the commissioning process. So please take a moment to review my terms of service before we begin.
If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to me!
I will do everything I can to make my clients satisfied about their commission(s). If you have any problem regarding the commissioned piece, please tell me right away, so we can find a solution together.
Your entire satisfaction is my end goal, so communication is the most important part of the commission process. As such, if you have any kind of issues with communication, please don’t hesitate to let me know beforehand, so I can adapt myself to you.
- By commissioning me, you agree to have read and fully agreed to my terms of service.
- Prices shown are for PERSONAL USE ONLY. Commercial use of my work must be negotiated through email.
- I retain all the rights to my work, which include but are not limited to the right to distribute, reproduce, copy and/or use the image as a sample for sales or self-promotion. For purchasing full rights to my work, please reach out through email on the topic for further negotiations.
- I DO NOT authorise using any of my pieces as NFT.
- I DO NOT authorise using any of my pieces to feed any AI generator or use in an AI generator in any way.
- Failure to abide by the previous guidelines will get you blacklisted.
- I reserve the right to refuse any commission.
- Any ill behaviour will NOT be tolerated.
- Please write in a clear and sympathetic manner for proper communication.
- I work best when given artistic freedom to create an image based on the characters you provide: I am happy to match a scene or pose that you have in mind, please allow and expect some variations.
- I may use photobashing and/or 3D on my commissions if I see fit at my own discretion.
- Price will vary depending on the complexity of the character design, background, revisions or other elements I deem fit. Said variations will be communicated as they come up, for full transparency.
- If the commission is a time-sensitive gift,I may delay public showcase at your request. Let me know so nobody gets spoiled!
The commissioner reserves the right to:
- Claiming rights to the character, but not the art itself.
- Sharing/Reposting the artwork any place they see fit, with proper credit.
- Resize or crop the artwork to create icons, wallpapers, or other graphics.
- Printing the artwork for personal use only.
The following is considered copyright infringement:
- Reproducing/using copyrighted artwork commercially without my knowledge.
- Claiming the artwork as your own.
- Removing my signature from the artwork when displaying it without resizing or cropping.
- Changing the artwork without my consent.
I only accept payment via PayPal. I will send all invoices in direct commissions, and only accept USD as payment. When ordering through third-party sites (ie. VGen or Kirke), I will abide by the site's terms of service regarding payment processing. Due to their rates of transactions, prices will be adjusted accordingly.
Payments can be either:
- 50% before I start your commission and 50% before I send the finished piece.
- OR 50% before I start your commission and 50% while I’m finishing the piece.
- OR 100% before I start working on your commission.
Which is dependant on the commission's final price and workload. I will ONLY start working on your commission after receiving full or the first-rate of the agreed payment.
If the commission amount is over 200USD, payment plans are welcomed for returning customers only!
Please, discuss with me for a realistic deadline, so that the piece may be done to the best of my abilities and at your earliest convenience.
Personal rights are free of charge, and immediate upon completion of the commission/s. Private right is extra 70% of final price, and to be arranged prior to invoicing.
Commercial rights will be decided case by case, and upon discussion prior to production.
I don't do refunds if I started working on your commission. If payment has already been received in whole or part, but I have not started production, refunds may be discussed.
You’ll receive a full refund if for any unjustifiable reason I’m unable to finish the commission.
After 10 days of unpaid invoice, your invoice will be cancelled and the commission is forfeited. If for some reason you cannot make the payment in the agreed-upon time, please tell me so and we can renegotiate the commission's timeframe and delivery.
While I allow reaching out for commissions through social media, please keep in-depth discussion and communication to my official channels. If I redirect you to a different means of messaging, please do so.
Please provide numerous useful references. I can guide you if needed, just state it. If references provided are unclear or lacking and I have to find references myself, an additional 30% charge of the final quote price may be added, depending on the commission complexity.
In the case where you have any size, resolution and/or colour mode requirements, please inform me as soon as possible! If I already created the file and worked on it, I might not be able to change it or it may negatively impact the file, at which case any extra work caused by these changes will be charged extra.
Please be aware that certain commission types may lead to different pricing depending on the references given. You'll be notified if I added reference fees to the final quote price, so we can discuss it if needed.
Description of the wanted commission is required, the more details the better! You can also try to sketch your idea, I’ll take anything you can offer, and I'm readily available for you to talk me through it. If you require help in finding references and inspiration, let me know and I can direct you to sites and communities.
Please check below the necessary bare minimum information I need when you reach out to me:
- Type of commission : (please go here for a proper listing)
- Pictures of the character(s):
- Picture(s) of pose idea(s):
- Pictures of background(s):
- Pictures you like the mood/colours of:
- Description: (i.e: who, doing what, where, when, why, for what)
- Budget range:
- Any other things you can think of, or deem important for me to know:
After sending me the required information, I’ll ask for more details if needed and answer any of your question(s). Then, I’ll come back to you to give you my quote price.
After negotiations are done, getting the first invoice and giving the timeframe for completion, I’ll start working on your commission.
If at any point during a commission I don't receive a needed reply from you within two weeks (14 days), the commission may be canceled.
Keep in mind that I may not work on a first-come, first-served basis. Smaller commissions may be bumped in front of larger ones for convenience, and several larger projects may be worked on concurrently.
Any delays will be communicated as they come to my awareness!
Depending on the size and complexity of the commission, I will communiciate with you how many times I will check-in with you over the progress of the commission, and how many revisions you are allowed to make. In general, any and all revisions during the thumbnailing or sketching stage are allowed and welcome.
After the lineart stage, revisions will be limited by my discretion. Additional revisions will be charged 5-25% of base price, depending on the extent of the revision.
If you change your mind and wish to change a part of the painting you have previously approved, I will charge you an extra fee, depending on the extent of the change.
In the case where artistic freedom is given, I will work based on my judgement. However, if the you request a scrapping of the scene in its majority or entirety, I will charge you again by the amount of payment already made.
Any mistakes from my end will be fixed for free!
Once the commission is complete and done with revisions, you will receive a signed or watermarked digital file via email, to not compress the quality. If the file is too big, I’ll use an image hosting or file sharing website.
For your safety and my own, I may use a tool against AI art theft, Glaze, on the final images at my discretion. More info here: https://glaze.cs.uchicago.edu/index.html
I may share the final artwork on my portfolio or social media, and I will add my watermark prominently on it. If you allow it, I will also tag you on the post. If you wish to remain anonymous in my post, please let me know ahead of time.
Please keep my art & thematic style in mind when ordering, and be specific on what you’re looking for. You’re free to reference any of my previous works, but anything outside of that scope may be denied. Don’t hesitate to ask me if your commission idea matches my art aesthetic and style.
If you're in doubt if your commission idea falls into my dos and don'ts, please don't hesitate to ask!
